This review is for Sell or Be Sold by Grant Cardone which was originally published in 2012.
The main SELLING point of this BOOK is motivation. I listened to this book repeatedly in 2019 when I did cold-knocking door to door sales for a Hail company.
Grant provided me with the motivation to keep selling in the face of many NO’s. Whenever I faced a particularly BRUTAL REJECTION I would pop an earbud in my head and listen to his words.
Although Grant can sometimes beat a DEAD HORSE and tends to repeat himself, he knows how to market himself and motivate effectively. This book is worth every single penny.
SELLING IS UNIVERSAL.
SALES IS LIFE AND LIFE IS SALES.

- Or you can be a meek little bitch and not do anything. Romantic partners and significant others will try to sell you and TEST you.
- You must HOLD fast, and be steady like an unshakeable OAK tree.
You must sell them on the fact that you are the KING. They are the servant.

Most modern men are conflict averse and weak. They’ve been raised all their lives to be conflict averse.
That is why it is so important to learn how to FIGHT and EMBRACE CONFLICT.
Take up MMA. Learn how to box. Get your ass beat in the ring. Beat someone’s ass.
The confidence you gain from fighting will allow you WELCOME confrontation instead of fleeing away from it or being afraid to SPEAK UP.
Silence is Compliance – Never forget that.
If you are disrespected by a man, he steps on your shoe and doesn’t apologize, and you don’t call him out on it… you are complying with his disrespect.
Don’t be afraid to call him out on his shit.
Don’t be afraid to SELL him on apologizing.
Guys, if you take this article and apply it to your life, you will see human interactions in a completely different way.
If you sell people on the idea you are a weak little bitch who they have nothing to fear from, and who they can use and abuse, they will IMPOSE their will on you.

Don’t give a fuck about ruining her day, or about an “AWKWARD” interaction, or about taking up her time.
You EITHER IMPOSE YOUR WILL.
OR YOU ARE A SERVANT WHO GETS BENT OVER AND HAS HIS WILL IMPOSED ON HIM.
So what’s it going to be?
Are you going to hang back and ask yourself what if as you stay awake alone with your own thoughts tonight?
Or are you going to take your balls back, stand straight, walk up and ASK for what you want.
90% of the time in life… people are AFRAID to ask for what they want.
ASK, for what you WANT.
That’s the secret.
It’s not rocket SCIENCE.
Are you going to be a KING or a SERVANT?
Are you going to be a MAN, or a MANGINA?
It’s up to you.
Learn to fight, get your ass kicked a couple times, KICK ASS and stop being so CONFLICT AVERSE.
STOP RUNNING SCARED WITH YOUR TAIL BETWEEN YOUR LEGS.
IMPOSE YOUR WILL ON OTHERS.

Sales is not for the faint of heart. If you want to succeed in sales, you’ve got to be a little crazy. You’ve got to be a little upbeat. Every interaction on the face of this planet involves a bit of sales whether you realize it or not.

Every interaction either you are selling someone on your idea or they are selling you on yours. This interaction occurs with friends, family, coworkers, strangers, lovers and strangers.
